nov 9 & 11

Editors:

Assign club and organization pages we know exist, such as Band, Orchestra, NHS, HOSA, etc. Set deadlines. Layouts_let's discuss this.

http://hillwoodyearbook.blogspot.com/2016/11/clubs-organizations-and-activities.html

Titles on pages such as Cross Country, Junior Class Officers, Volleyball, etc. Pick the typeface and do it.

All:

Some of you are amazing. Some of you are one step from the bench. Do as much of the page as you can when it is assigned. Do not wait.

November 18 deadline. Check your assignments and due dates.

Lighten dark photos in Photoshop before you upload. It is very simple.

Plan on 20 photos per candid page.

If you do not understand what goes on a page, ask the editors. You could also take a look at last year's yearbook.

october 24_28

Sometimes I assume too much, because you are so smart, yet have not had the experience.

I always want to be fair,
so about your grade...............talk to me.

I am not a HA, but am a semi-HA.

Think ahead.
Do not wait until the due date to finish pages

Do not take pages from the Library or All Images. Those belong to someone else. Get your photos from a Topic folder, usually your name, or a topic like "candids".

Do not change the layout without input from Alex, Felicianna or me.

Be sure you can resize correctly.

Did someone ask me "How do I know who took a photo?"

Lighten dark photos in Photoshop, before you upload. Lots of photos are too dark. You may need to totally redo pages, including fixing in Photoshop and re-uploading.

Help with photos_Thursday and Friday

I can give you a permission form for your teachers. Keep it in your folder. You do not need to give it to me.
You should be available on Thursday during  your yearbook class.
This is a good time to take photos of 9-11 grade students.

Due Friday:

Email me at topperselfie@gmail.com
Check to be sure your email was delivered
For each page assigned to you (that you have not already done) tell me:

The page number (or numbers if they go from 12-20, etc.)

The due date if it is assigned. Tell me if no due date has been assigned.

Page description. What is the  (freshman candid, senior superlatives, etc.)

How many photos you need for the page (not necessary for class photos, such as Sophomores).

What type of text or "copy" (journalism jargon for text or words) you need for  pages, such as "names of people pictured in photo", the team name, the organization name

What you do not understand

So......
Copy, paste and fill out in your email:

Page number:
Due date:
Page description:
Number of photos needed:
Copy needed:
