week 1_What is journalism? Read the first two sentences. In your own words, describe what this means. Explain what each term, gathering, assessing, creating, and presenting, means.

List 5 examples or sources of journalism. Explain why you consider this an example of "legitimate" journalism.

week 2_What is the purpose of journalism? Summarize this, in your own words, using not more than two sentences.

week 3_List the 10 elements common to good journalism and explain what each means, in your own words.

week 4_Read "Journalism as a discipline of verification". List and summarize the meaning of the  three core concepts – transparency, humility, and originality of the discipline of verification.
