yearbook assignment update

Yearbook update

Put this in your folder.

Your name:________________________________________________

Jan. 29 is the last day to turn in anything for the yearbook. All newly assigned candid pages are due Jan. 15.

If you miss a deadline, your deadline grade will be a zero. A zero for this grade will probably result in a reduction of one letter grade, i.e. from an A to a B. You will receive a zero until your deadline is complete. It is possible to fail this class.

After the yearbook is complete, we will be creating school publications, such as academy brochures, the program of studies, etc.

Use a daily time sheet to document what you do during each class period. Turn this in at the end of each week. If you do not turn it in, your grade is zero for this portion of your grade.

Divide up senior accomplishments. But there are not very many. Do a couple of you want to do this? Type up as homework. Due Jan 11.

You can do at these at home and send them as an email attachment, or save your work on flash drive. You can save these as Rich Text Format (RTF). You can use text edit on our computers.

Candid pages. Check the notebook to see what photos have been used. Use some more of the nerd photos? On iMac.

Musheda & Caroline. Senior pages and Class of 2010 pages. Add CJ Perry. I have the photo.

New candid page assignments. Try to get people not photographed.

Club & organization updates:

Kim & Faliethia: I didn't do anything, except I have photo of math league if you need it for layout.

Mollie: Type names in on HOSA page.

Djordje: 108. Trash officer photos if you don't use it

Amy: Done. Check name spelling.

Blair: 109. Type in names. What are we doing about pp. 130 &131? Candids?

Doran: NHS group photo is pasted in. Type names. Book Club?

Torsheka: Type in names.

Ashley: Are we doing the video page? If we are, hurry. If not, leave it blank for autographs.

Susie - Chorus. Group photo is pasted in. Add names. If you don't do Orchestra, I have a few candids we can put in. Or leave the page blank for autographs.

Andrew- Coming Home pages are now pep rally photos, unless someone has a better idea. OK? 2 pages.

Brittnee. p 126 Yearbook Staff.

Dedication layout is done. Bambino: Get some quotes from faculty about her. Get biographical info & write it up. Interview her. I have some sample questions. January 11.

Great job for underclass page teams. Not perfect, but GREAT! Really great! Look at the pages in the notebook. Check to see that correct names are under the correct faces and that spelling is correct. These pages are already backed up on a CD. The changes are not current on your computers. The best way is probably to make changes on the printed pages and give them to me. I also have them on the flash drive. Be sure you tell me if you make changes.

Page 37. Missing Trisha Patterson. No photo of Taylor. Put Trisha in and put Taylor on last page? Or move all the photos and names?

Editors. Look at my contents pages & make additions if you want to.

Everybody, look for mistakes. If you make changes, we will make them together, but it is primarily your responsibility, and it is time-consuming.

Back up your work daily if possible. Computers are dying. I backed up G5 5, 6, 15, & 16 on Dec. 21.

Backups were from Lacie & onto DVD. May not be the most current.

Sports pages. I have a calendar. I have some freshman cheerleader photos.

Everybody, should do this……..Do the checklist at the bottom - folders are in order and all your psd's are ready for backup.

Completion date:

Computer G5_____

____ All pages are in my folder on the desktop

____ All Photoshop pages (psd's) are in a folder and are unflattened

____ All my pages are saved on to a CD or DVD
