Goal Statement:
The primary goal of any journalism program should be for students to improve oral and written communication skills. Many high school students seek opportunities to explore career possibilities in the media. Journalism programs should offer students many opportunities to excel in a variety of areas.

•Demonstrate appropriate language usage skills and research techniques.
•Demonstrate appropriate journalistic writing style for various media.
Visual
•Exhibit a working knowledge for roles and procedures of management and production of various media.
•Demonstrate knowledge of layout and design procedures by incorporating consistency of style using a desktop publishing system (if available), traditional methods, or a combination of both techniques.
What I Want You to Know or Do:
1. How to write in a journalistic style _who, what, when, where, why and how.
2. How to take "good" yearbook photos.

Desktop folders
Be back at your computer by 12:15 to setup a desktop folder on your account desktop. Several can share an account, but each should have a desktop folder.
By Thursday:
Photos in desktop folder right after lunch. At least 10 per person. Your folder and your name.
Work on sports team and candid photos.
Cheerleader and Cross Country photos.
All could be taken under the trees.
Touch base on times and location.
