Editors, look at completed pages and be sure they are what we want. For example, Homecoming.

Everyone, watch for:

photos that are too dark, lighten in Photoshop before you upload

hand signs that are, or could be interpreted as, gang signs

Problem: I need photos

Solution: For example, I need photos of Health Science, but I'm not in the Health Science Academy.

Is anyone on the yearbook staff in the 
HS Academy?

If the answer is yes, that person(s) should take a camera with you for several days and take photos. The black point and shoots are excellent for this.

• Read, listen to, or watch news.
      Cite the source, title and date, such as USA Today, "More than half of Puerto Rico still without  drinking water", September 30. List the 5W's + H (Who, What, When, Where, Why and How).
