november 28_december 2

Help with photos on December 2 (B day), in the auditorium

I can give you permission forms

Do you have a folder in your name on the eDesign site?

When you are given an assignment, start it then. Do not wait until the day it is due.

If I do not see a change, I will require an email telling me what you did during each yearbook class. I do not want to do this.

Recent photo assignment comments:

•Some excellent and taken with thought
•Some OK
•Some done at the last minute just to get a grade, and some of these were excellent.
•Some unusable
•Don't take a photo of the same person or scene over and over just to complete your assignment.
•Look at your photos before you upload them. If they are too dark, they can may be be lightened.
Lighten before you  upload.
•I don't think we need more yearbook staff in photos

Layouts:

•Do not change layouts without talking to Felicianna or Alexandra.
•Let them show you how to resize photos in your picture boxes. It is simple, yet tricky and difficult. Doing it incorrectly ruins layouts. I may start taking points off for layouts that require fixing.

Your grade:

Let me know if I made a mistake. For example, some of you got the photos, but did not get them uploaded. You may have taken the photos, uploaded them (Destiny on November 11 for the November 21 deadline, for example) and then used them on  a page. If I mistakenly gave you a 50, let me know. There were several missed deadlines (50x5)

New assignments:

Clubs, organizations and activities

Pick one or you may be assigned one.

What you will need to do:
1. Write a brief description of what the entity does. A paragraph of not more than five sentences. Use who, what, when, where, why, how.
2. Group photo (some sponsors may not want a group photo)
3. Candid photos
4. Names of people pictured

Assignment for everyone. Due Friday. Deadline grade. (Your grade is 3x50 if not met.)
Read about the 5W's + H.
http://hillwoodyearbook.blogspot.com/2016/11/how-to-write-news-story5ws-h.html

Write two questions for each W and H. These should be questions you would ask to find out about a Hillwood club or organization. For example, "What does this club or organization do?" or "What are the requirements for being a member of this club or organization?"

Turn in as email.
